The birth of a new child is always an exciting event, and there is no better way to welcome a new life into the world and celebrate the birth than to follow the practices and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ .

Aqiqah ritual is sunnah and mustahabb, with some ulama even obligate this practice because of its many virtues. This ritual was also carried out by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, so it does offer a wonderful opportunity for modern Muslims to connect with their beloved Prophet ﷺ and show devotion to Allah SWT.
